Connect Close CRM to Beam

Bring interested prospects into your sales workflow, respect email opt-outs, and see how outbound replies progress to pipeline and revenue by outreach month.

Connect your account

  1. Open your Beam workspace and go to Settings → Integrations → Close. You need permission to manage integrations in Beam and to authorize the Close organization you want to connect.
  2. Select Connect Close, sign in to Close if prompted, choose the correct organization, and authorize Lightmeter. Close access follows the permissions of the user who authorizes it.
  3. Return to Beam, choose the sync settings you want, and select Save Close Connection. Sync features stay off until configured and enabled.

OAuth authorization grants account-wide CRM access and continued access for sync. Check that you have selected the intended Close organization before authorizing.

Send positive replies to Close

Enable Sync positive replies to Close to bring interested prospects to the CRM for prompt sales follow-up. Beam matches an existing Close Contact by the campaign recipient's work email, using an exact email match. This can differ from the latest inbound sender shown in the conversation picker. The setup test previews both addresses and requires manager acknowledgment when they differ. If you choose Create a Lead and Contact when no exact email match exists, Beam can create those records when needed. You can set a Lead status, source, and field mappings.

Opportunity progression is optional. Choose a Close pipeline and active status, then decide whether Beam should create a missing Opportunity or update an existing Opportunity status. Review the effects shown in Beam, save the settings, and turn on Positive reply sync. The page offers an optional test with a selected positive conversation.

Keep email opt-outs aligned

Enable Sync email suppression and choose Close to Lightmeter, Lightmeter to Close, or Both directions. Close unsubscribes an exact email address across its organization. Close-to-Lightmeter sync adds those addresses to the Beam workspace email blocklist; Lightmeter-to-Close sync unsubscribes opted-out addresses in Close.

When importing Close unsubscribes, review the impact preview and approve the new blocks before saving or enabling the import. The preview shows how many addresses are new to the workspace blocklist and how many active campaign leads they affect.

Close says its unsubscribe management feature is unavailable on Solo, Essentials, and legacy Base plans. Check availability for your Close organization before enabling Lightmeter-to-Close suppression sync. A successful OAuth connection alone does not confirm that Close will accept unsubscribe writes.

This controls email outreach only. It does not block phone calls, and neither system automatically resubscribes an address.

Measure pipeline and revenue

In the Close integration page, open Revenue attribution and set up the report. Select the Close Opportunity stages that count as Qualified and Closed Won, choose what Opportunity amounts mean, select the value period to report, and set a reporting time zone. Save, then open Reports → Revenue.

Beam matches the campaign recipient's work email to a Close Contact by exact email, then follows Opportunities assigned to that Contact and Opportunities on its Lead that have no Contact assignment. Opportunities assigned to another Contact on the same Lead are excluded. Each Opportunity is credited once. A qualified Opportunity counts after it enters a selected qualified stage following the positive reply; won results use the selected Closed Won stages. The report groups these outcomes by outreach month so you can measure progression over time; it does not show a campaign-by-campaign breakdown.

Choose the Close value period that matches the amounts you want to report: one-off, monthly, or annual. Amounts with other periods remain missing values rather than being converted. A Revenue target is optional.

Check, reconnect, or disconnect

Use Check Connection on the integration page to refresh Close field choices and verify access. Use Reconnect Close if the authorization needs renewal. Disconnect stops sync for the Beam workspace; existing Close records and saved Revenue settings remain, so you can connect again later.

Support

If authorization, field mapping, or reporting does not behave as expected, contact hello@lightmeter.io. Include your Beam workspace and a brief description of the step that failed. Do not send API keys or other credentials by email.
